Are your products made from real sheepskin?
Yes – all of our premium sheepskins are made with high quality sheepskin direct from European sheep farmers.
I know some sheepskins smell terrible, do you perfume your sheepskins?
We do not perfume our sheepskins directly but we do treat them before they are sold, using a gentle, environmentally friendly process. As part of this process, the sheepskins are conditioned which leaves them feeling incredibly soft and smelling amazing!
Where do you get your sheepskins used in your products from?
We work with trusted farmers and tanneries in Europe to supply only the highest quality sheepskins from Iceland, England and Ireland. We have worked hard to build relationships with farmers we trust who maintain a high ethical and environmental standard at all times.
How do I clean my sheepskin?
Your sheepskin is a remarkably durable product and will need little maintenance in most conditions. Generally it requires brushing with a pet brush or similar and/or a light vacuuming. Should you spill something on your sheepskin or stain it, we recommend having it cleaned by a dry cleaner that specialises in leather products. For more information, check out our Sheepskin Cleaning Care page.
What kind of dyes do you use?
We use high quality, organic cold water dyes that produce a natural colour.
Why are your sheepskins cheaper than big name brands?
Our premium sheepskins are cheaper than big name brands because make less of a profit on each sheepskin we sell and there are less labour costs in producing your sheepskin. We are a small, independent supplier and have worked hard to develop relationships with farmers and tanneries that deliver high quality sheepskins at a more affordable price. We know that sheepskins are a luxury product but we don’t believe that means they need a price tag that breaks the bank.
How long will delivery take?
Generally delivery anywhere within the EU will take from 2 to 5 days.
Will my sheepskin last?
Yes! Our premium sheepskins are remarkably durable products and will maintain their soft texture and feel for many years with good care. It is not uncommon for people to keep a sheepskin for anything up to 10 years or more.
Are your sheepskins eco-friendly?
Yes – we only work with farmers who meet our tough environmental standards and all of our sheepskins are treated before sale using a gentle, environmentally friendly process without harsh chemicals which damage the planet.
Will sheepskins become unbearably hot in the summer months?
Sheepskins are superb at regulating temperature so will not have to be removed during the summer months, they wick away sweat very efficiently so you won’t feel sticky or sweaty on hot summer days – no matter how hot it gets. Sheepskins are highly breathable and stay cool and aerated in summer making them an ideal surface for covering furniture.
Will water ruin my sheepskin if it gets wet?
If you spill water on your sheepskin it will not be ruined, but we do recommend drying it off with a towel and leaving to dry in a well-lit, airy space.
Are sheepskins safe for children?
Our sheepskins are soft, gentle and natural making them perfect for the whole family. They are also treated before sale so are exceptionally clean and safe to use.
